i've never been to Africa. the thing is, people who have... pause when i say this. they breathe and tell me 'there's nothing like it.' i'm told it is beautiful in a myriad of ways.

West Africa sounds wonderful! We spent two weeks in Botswana last summer - I'm still writing posts about it. What a wonder it was!

I live in Geneva also... and I spent a week in Ghana this Easter! It was great, very hot... good luck with your June trip! I am sure you will find that many things have changed in the past 30 years :)
