Spring is in the Air...

.
Looks like Spring may,
at long last,
be just around the corner..
.
.
Meanwhile...
Things that are baffling to me:

collections - of any kind - for display purposes only,

liqueur-filled chocolate,

zealots, decaf, hors-d’oeuvre sized dogs,

politicised tragedies, motherhood,

pine-scented anything, government forms,

campsites with satellite hook-up, celebrity worship,

bad faith, why I can remember all the lyrics to songs
I haven’t heard in 20 years
but can never remember my neighbour’s name,

people who name their daughter Lolita,

socks + sandals, slapstick,

French stand-up comics, accordion music,

how anyone can stand up, never mind, walk in skycraper-
high stilletto heels...
.
What's baffling you right now..?
.

Thanks for the visit and the encouragement.
Maybe what baffles me more nowadways is the million ways for communication we have (telephone, cell phone, internet, emails, skype, twitter, blogs, letters) and how this all make harder to meet people in person.

You surely must be a philosopher.
You are certainly much more aware of your state of being than some of us.
My question is how come we still don't have time despite all the technological devices meant to help us apply less physical effort and have more time and fun?

what a wonderful text to read...

Spring is such a lovely time isn't it. Everything seem so fresh.
What baffles me is why do we get so much of paper junk mail when we are supposed to be going green.
Why do people send emails in offices to each other even though they are in the same room.

people who name their daughter Lolita

Maybe they never heard of the novel...

What baffles me sort of ties into Claudia's baffleity (not a word eh?): Why do people today insist on being available to everyone all the time. Don't freaking answer the cell, you have voicemail!!!

Other things that baffle me:

- Those 5 remotes on the coffee table. Nothing can be done without a remote now. What if it breaks?

- What colours I should paint the dining room.

- Why I'm so paralyzed about choosing a damn colour (dunno if that's baffling or frustrating)

- Electric toothbrushes. How hard is it to brush one's teeth oneself?

- Electric salt and pepper mills, and all those other strange "labour saving devices" that come under the heading of "electric whatever"

- Life in general

And I could go on for hours. Pretty much everything has begun to baffle me in the past few years.

i now have a huge smile, this was amusing. I have way to may items on my list of things, people and events that baffle me to list here.
as I get older, i get baffled more easily.....by others and myself! is that what happens when you get older?

Oh, spring, le printemps is just around the corner and I am gearing up nicely to unload a whole loads of spring songs onto you, unsuspecting readers and fellow bloggers. Many thanks for that beautiful image. I could stare at it all day long.

Greetings from London.
